Tragedy in Seattle

   Just heard about the shooting of 4 police officers in Seattle, WA.  Absolutely tragic and a tremendous loss.  I find it unnerving that some lone nut can create so much anguish.  I'm appalled that the suspect was pardoned by Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee who believed the suspect's line about changing his life around.  What convicted murderer wouldn't claim to have "see the light" if it means getting out of prison?
  My heart goes out to the families of the slain officers and I'm hoping the suspect is caught soon and gets what he deserves.

   On this day before the Thanksgiving holiday, take a moment and think about the many things in your life that you are thankful for.  This may come easily or it may be difficult, but I know everyone has a reason to be thankful for something.  I hope this come easily and that it brings good thoughts your way.  In the spirit of the fall season, here is a photograph taken in Banff of some great fall colors.

Welcome

     Hello and welcome to Doppy Thoughts.  This is where I will share thoughts about a variety of topics.  From politics to sports to whatever, just things I find interesting, amusing, confounding, etc.
    A few things about me.  I am an audio mixer for TV shows and films.  This means I add sfx, music, and voices to images and arrange them in a way to best present the story to the viewer.  My profession allows me to meet and interact with a lot of famous and not-so-famous people and to gain a wide insight into many topics.
    I am also a big sports and music fan.  I still play in an adult baseball league which has led to some very interesting travels and situations.  Recently I just returned from the Roy Hobbs tournament held in Ft. Myers, Florida.
